Hillels Help College Students Strengthen Their Jewish Identity

As college students return to classes this fall, they have a meaningful way to connect with their Jewish heritage. Campus Hillels at more than 600 colleges and universities around the world help students strengthen their Jewish identity through educational opportunities, holiday celebrations, activities, travel experiences and mentoring. The programs are unique to each college community and can include weekly Shabbat dinners, outings to local events, game nights, guest speakers, service projects and more. Donations to the Annual Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Campaign support seven Hillels across Florida: Central Florida Hillel, Hillel at FIU, Hillel at FSU, Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach, Hillels of the Florida Suncoast, UF Hillel and UM Hillel.
