Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach First to Bear Names of October 7 Victims

The Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach is now the world’s first site to permanently bear the names, in English and Hebrew, of those murdered during the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023. A released hostage joined with Miami leaders, Holocaust Survivors and descendants of Survivors to unveil the list of names inscribed in stone. Located near the Memorial’s list of those murdered by the Nazis during World War II, the October 7 names were added as a testament to the truth that wreckless persecution of Jews did not end with the Holocaust and that the fight against hatred must never cease. A Committee of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, the Holocaust Memorial welcomes more than 150,000 visitors annually and works year-round to teach the lessons of the Holocaust.
