Program in Israel Helps Infants With Disabilities

infant

Your Federation donation is helping infants with disabilities in Israel. Through a grant to Shalva-The Israel Association for Care and Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, a group of infants up to 18 months old and their parents are participating in an early intervention program. The initiative provides intensive, on-site personal therapy sessions, such as physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, massage treatments, occupational and speech therapy treatments in an effort to help children achieve their first developmental milestones. Parents struggling with the isolating reality of raising a child with disabilities find hope and acceptance as co-therapists in their child’s rehabilitative process.
