Inspiring Others to Leave a Legacy

As an estate-planning attorney who helps her clients make a difference through charitable giving, Laura Lavie recently created her own legacy through The Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Born in Mexico City and raised in a traditional Jewish home in New Jersey — attending Hebrew school, participating in Jewish youth groups and attending Jewish sleepaway camp — Lavie has played an active role in Federation since 2009. Her journey as a dedicated philanthropist reflects her values of giving and belonging, which led her to make a legacy gift at the Heritage Society level.
