Inspiring Others to Leave a Legacy

As an estate-planning attorney who helps her clients make a difference through charitable giving, Laura Lavie recently created her own legacy through The Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Born in Mexico City and raised in a traditional Jewish home in New Jersey — attending Hebrew school, participating in Jewish youth groups and attending Jewish sleepaway camp — Lavie has played an active role in Federation since 2009. Her journey as a dedicated philanthropist reflects her values of giving and belonging, which led her to make a legacy gift at the Heritage Society level. Click here to read Laura’s story in the Book of Life. To create your own legacy gift, contact Miriam Masia, Senior Philanthropic Advisor, at [email protected] at 786.866.8627.
