Celebrate Individuals With Differing Abilities During JDAM and JDAIM Month With a Range of Activities

February is Jewish Disability Advocacy Month (JDAM) and Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance & Inclusion Month (JDAIM). This worldwide effort advocates for people with disabilities and mental health conditions to be active participants in Jewish life. Federation is proud to be part of this initiative by helping local organizations raise disability awareness, remove barriers to opportunity and celebrate diversity in our community. This month’s activities include movie screenings, story time with our PJ Library accompanied by an ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter, an inclusive Shabbat dinner and informative discussions. For more information and to RSVP, click here. Additionally, our Miami Jewish Abilities Alliance offers a user-friendly website to link individuals with disabilities and their families to services, support and resources year-round.
