JFNA Statement on the Release of the Hostages

The Greater Miami Jewish Federation is overjoyed to welcome home Emily Damari, Doron Steinbrecher and Romi Gonen after 471 days in captivity and remains committed to helping them and other released hostages and their families reintegrate into Israeli society. Through the Israel Emergency Fund, Federation is supporting the Hostages and Missing Families Forum. By offering mental health and family counseling services, advocacy, legal aid and more, the Forum ensures that families of hostages, both those who have been released and those who remain in captivity, have the support they need. Additionally, a special humanitarian fund is distributing grants to cover their unique needs. We anxiously await the next group of four female hostages expected to arrive on Israeli soil tomorrow. We pray that the ceasefire will hold and over the coming weeks, to see continued hostage releases until they are all returned home.
