Kristallnacht Commemoration To Be Held On November 10

Join Jewish Miami for the communitywide commemoration of Kristallnacht, “the Night of Broken Glass,” on Sunday, November 10 at 6 p.m. at Temple Israel of Greater Miami. The Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach, a Committee of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, will present the testimony of a 100-year-old eyewitness to the Shoah in a program that pays tribute to the victims of the Holocaust and honors the resilience of Survivors. Kristallnacht was the pogrom throughout Nazi Germany on November 9-10, 1938 that signaled the beginning of Hitler’s campaign to exterminate the Jews. This year’s gathering will take place at Temple Israel, located at 137 NE 19th Street, as the Holocaust Memorial is currently undergoing construction for its new Education Center. Parking onsite is free but limited, so ridesharing is encouraged. Click here for more information. If you would like the Holocaust Memorial to organize a bus for your constituency to attend the event, contact Julie Bernstein at [email protected] or 305.538.1663.
