Lions of Judah: The Pride of Jewish Miami

Women’s Philanthropy recently welcomed new Lions of Judah from the past two years to the sisterhood for an intimate brunch to share the pride. More than 65 women gathered to learn about its unique history, hear stories about how wearing the Lion pin connects women and their shared commitment to care for those in need and strengthen Jewish life. Created in Miami in 1972 by Norma Kipnis Wilson and Toby Friedland, both of blessed memory, the Lion program is now an international phenomenon with more than 18,000 women who support Federation with a generous annual gift of $5,000 or more. Watch this video to hear Norma share her vision. To learn more about becoming a Lion, contact Ofi Osin-Cohen at [email protected]. Save the date for our signature Lion of Judah event on November 17 and the International Lion of Judah Conference February 28-March 3 in Austin, TX. More details on these events to follow.
