Miami Leaders Speak Out Against Antisemitism at Annual Press Conference

Eighteen mayors and community leaders came together yesterday for the fourth annual Miami-Dade Mayors' Press Conference Against Antisemitism, organized by Federation's Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC). Just days after the deadly, antisemitic massacre in Sydney, Australia and other recent anti-Jewish and anti-Israel incidents, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and mayors from 12 municipalities, along with Israel's Deputy Consul General Ayellet Black and leaders from the ADL, AJC, JCRC and the Rabbinical Association of Greater Miami (RAGM) forcefully condemned the global rise in antisemitism. All of the speakers underscored the importance of embracing and empowering the local Jewish community, with a focus on strengthening existing partnerships with non-Jewish allies.
