Program Helps College Students Build Skills and Connect to Israel

Miami-Dade college students are strengthening their personal connection to Israel while building their resumes through Onward Israel, a program supported by the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and our overseas partner agency The Jewish Agency for Israel. The Miami cohort recently spent some time away from their 8-week internship program in Tel Aviv to visit Federation’s partnership city Yerucham. While there, they met with Mayor Tal Ohana and visited with participants of Youth Futures, a project that helps at-risk pre-teens funded by the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign. Participants also stayed overnight in Yerucham with host families before returning to the hustle and bustle of the city.
