Professional Seminar to Review Estate and
Tax Strategies for Non-Traditional Families

The Professional Advisors Council (PAC) of The Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and Temple Israel of Greater Miami will present a seminar on Estate and Tax Planning for Non-Traditional Families on Tuesday, March 4, beginning at noon at Temple Israel, 137 Northeast 19th Street, Miami.

Speakers will include Elizabeth F. Schwartz, Esq. of Elizabeth F. Schwartz Attorneys & Mediators, P.A. and Mark Scott, J.D., LL.M of Kaufman, Rossin & Co.

While her firm works with straight and gay clients in matters of family law, estate planning and probate, Schwartz is best known for her work representing the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, for whom she focuses on family formation (adoption, insemination, surrogacy) and dissolution matters.

Scott is a principal in the Estate and Trust department of Kaufman, Rossin & Co. His areas of concentration include complex estate tax planning, gift tax planning, trust tax planning, pension planning and estate and gift tax examinations.

Howard D. Goldstein, CLU, ChFC, is chairing this event, and Robert B. Newman serves as Chair of PAC.

Founded in 1972, PAC is a group of more than 200 men and women in the legal, accounting, investment, financial services and estate-planning fields. As professionals, PAC members advise individuals and families regarding the benefits and tax advantages of investing in philanthropy.

Couvert for the seminar is $18 per person. A kosher lunch will be served. There will be no solicitation of funds. One hour of continuing education credit has been applied for.
