A Performance to Honor Pittsburgh

Eight members of HaZamir Miami recently performed with singers from 20 chapters of HaZamir: The International Jewish Teen Choir at Temple Sinai in Pittsburgh to commemorate the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue last October. The event showcased Jewish musical styles from across the globe. HaZamir engages hundreds of Jewish teens in contemporary and classical Jewish choral music and helps strengthen their connection to their Jewish heritage. The Miami chapter, led by Dr. Alan Mason, meets weekly at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center, a Federation partner agency, communicating and rehearsing with their partnership chapter in Yerucham via videoconference.
