Providing Mental Health Support in Israel

With 1 in 4 people expected to have a mental health emergency at some point in their lives — and countless Israelis in crisis since October 7 — Federation is working with experts in the field to provide a continuum of critical services at a time of tremendous need. Addressing mental health and providing trauma support is a priority area for Federation. Partnering with Enosh, Israel’s largest community-based mental health nonprofit, Federation is assisting tens of thousands of Israelis, and their families, with psychosocial disabilities. Using a personalized comprehensive approach, Enosh offers a wide range of services, including prevention, treatment and rehabilitation; housing; hospitalization alternatives; employment support and more. Recently, Enosh has added remote and digital options for care, opened virtual social spaces and expanded trauma-informed responses for displaced communities.
