Celebrating Purim

Homebound elderly and children with special needs in Ukraine experienced a joyful Purim, thanks to Federation’s overseas partner the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC). JDC volunteers prepared and delivered “Bring Joy Boxes” filled with various goods and hamentaschen, sharing the holiday spirit. Volunteers from Hesed Shmuel and Hesed Reim social welfare centers and the Nikolaev JCC also designed and delivered Purim cards to homebound elderly individuals.
