Raising Awareness for Risk of Breast Cancer

risk

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With support from a Federation Jewish Incubator Grant and the Women’s Impact Initiative, Yodeah is helping Jewish women understand their cancer risk. The Miami-based, grassroots, volunteer organization is providing educational outreach programs and on-site, low-cost, saliva-based genetic testing for hereditary cancer mutations in the Jewish community. Jewish Incubator Grants and Women’s Impact Initiative grants are awarded annually by Federation to support inspiring, innovative programs. For more information on the Incubator Grants, contact Bonnie Dawson at [email protected] or 786.866.8498.
