Scholarships Help Local Children Experience Jewish Sleepaway Camp

This summer, 180 Miami-area children will attend more than 50 Jewish sleepaway camps--representing a variety of religious streams--thanks to nearly $122,000 in scholarships distributed by the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Inspirational Jewish overnight summer camp experiences provide children with long-lasting friendships, self-discovery, and quite often, the spark for a lifetime of Jewish engagement. Since 2002, Federation's Annual Campaign has allocated more than $1.5 million to help local families afford overnight summer camp.
