Special Grants Helping Israelis After October 7

As the former October 7 hostages begin to find their new normal, Federation remains deeply committed to their long-term wellbeing, as well as that of their families and the loved ones of those brutally murdered by Hamas. Through the Fund for Victims of Terror (FVOT), individuals and their families who have been personally affected by terror attacks receive grants within 24-48 hours of a direct attack, helping with immediate needs, long-term rehabilitation and post-trauma care. Additional grants have also been distributed to help the released hostages and members of affected families afford individualized therapies and counseling, rent, medical and educational equipment, school and more. Since October 7, FVOT, managed by Federation’s longtime partner The Jewish Agency for Israel, has distributed almost $35 million.
