Federation Continues to Help Victims of Surfside Building Collapse

With the collapse of Champlain Towers South, those who were employed by the condo are experiencing a sudden loss of income and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation is helping them get back on their feet. These individuals are now in financial need until they can secure a new job. In addition to helping several employees through this difficult time, Federation has distributed nearly $440,000 to 141 individuals and their families. The generosity of more than 8,000 donors to Federation's Emergency Fund for the Surfside Building Collapse enables need-based and immediate help through direct deposit and gift cards so those who have lost everything can purchase necessities such as clothes, cell phone and personal essentials with dignity.
