A Statement From the Greater Miami Jewish Federation Following Terror Attack in Central Israel

On Wednesday, June 8, Israeli police reported a terrorist attack by at least two individuals using automatic weapons at the Sarona Market in Tel Aviv’s Commercial District. Four people were killed and at least six others were wounded before the gunmen were neutralized and arrested. An accomplice was later arrested, as well.

Federation offers our deepest condolences to the families of those who died during this horrific attack. We also extend wishes for a speedy and full recovery to those wounded, and strength to those who continue to defend our brothers and sisters in Israel. Further, we condemn unequivocally the culture of violence perpetuated by the leadership of the Palestinian people and express our respect and admiration for the resilience of the citizens of Israel in the face of such horrific acts of terror.
