Federation System Fulfills a Critical Role in Ukraine Relief Efforts

Large countries invading their neighbor, assuming their sovereignty is up for grabs, is nothing new. In fact, it's as old as time itself. We see today for the first time in 80 years Jewish refugees in Europe. But something has changed. Something is new. And that is the ability we have as Jews to rescue ourselves — to rescue our own people. We have a strong, secure state of Israel that serves as a refuge for these refugees. And we have a strong, resilient global infrastructure that can bring our people out of harm's way or to care for those who cannot leave. It is a blessing to have choices, to have agency, to have power — and to use that power for good.
