Calling All Hands! Volunteer on MLK Day of Service

Honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation Volunteer Center and Jewish Community Relations Council during an intergenerational, interfaith day of hands-on volunteering on Monday, January 19. Together with local friends and community partners, we will work on neighborhood beautification projects, pack meals for families in need and garden at the Overtown Farm. Led by the Teen Committee, the program includes a kosher lunch and bus transportation is available for teens leaving from North and South Dade locations. Participants are encouraged to donate new hygiene items for this year’s MLK Day Collection. Teens will earn community service hours for participating and extra hours by donating. 2026 Women’s Amutot Initiative Grantees

Twenty-four nonprofits will receive a total of more than $350,000 in grants from Federation’s Women’s Amutot Initiative (WAI) to advance social, economic, religious and political equality for Israeli women.

Supporting Resilience in Northern Israeli Schools

Your Federation dollars support the Israel Trauma Coalition’s (ITC) Resilient School Program addressing the educational crisis in Northern Israel. ITC is introducing a sustainable resilience-building initiative to provide children with structure, a sense of safety and a pathway to healing.

MJFF Is Back: January 14-29

This year’s Festival will present 139 films from 20 countries — including 105 features and 34 shorts — featuring 15 world premieres, 19 international premieres, 13 North American premieres, and 3 US premieres.
