Day 3

Today after breakfast at the hotel, we went on a nature walk, and by nature walk, I mean a gorgeous four-hour hike through the Golan at the Yehudia Forest Reserve.

After the hike we stopped for lunch on our way to Mount Bental where not only did we have amazing panoramic views of the Golan, Syria, and Lebanon, but also learned a little about its significance and Israeli history. Mount Bental was the site of the courageous battle fought during the Six Day War in 1967.

That night we had an amazing jam session with Gilad Vital, lead singer of Shotei Hanevua (הנבואה שוטי), who spoke with us about his family story (click here for video) and Israel music.

We left the evening even more excited to meet our Israeli soldiers the next day.
