Emergency Allocation Supports Jewish Day Schools

Day School

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the 10 Jewish day schools that receive funding from Federation have continued their mission to provide an outstanding secular and Jewish education for students in innovative and creative ways. They have adapted to today's challenging circumstances to provide COVID-19-safe programs that bring together their students for in-person learning and spiritual growth. To support these efforts, Federation’s Coronavirus Crisis Response Task Force allocated $2 million in additional emergency funds to help the schools respond to increased pandemic-related expenses including facility modifications, PPE, enhanced sanitation, upgraded technology, staffing costs and increased tuition assistance requests. Since the onset of the crisis, Federation has provided more than $10 million in emergency support for a safety net of services and agencies in community.
