The City of Miami Beach Honors Miami Jewish Film Festival Executive Director

Mazal tov to Igor Shteyrenberg, Executive Director of the Miami Jewish Film Festival (MJFF), who was recently honored by Mayor Dan Gelber and the City of Miami Beach with a proclamation dedicating August 23 as “Igor Shteyrenberg Day.” Igor has been MJFF Executive Director for the past 10 years, during which time the Festival has grown into one of the largest of its kind and has been named one of the 50 best film festivals in the world for three consecutive years by MovieMaker magazine. MJFF is a program of Federation subsidiary the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education. Upon receiving the proclamation, Igor said, “I'm so deeply moved to be recognized in the city where I discovered my love for cinema and the first place I called home after my family fled Ukraine as political refugees. I feel blessed to work with friends I love and for a community I love.” Mark your calendars for the 27th Miami Jewish Film Festival from January 11 to 25, 2024.
