Scholarships Help Children Experience Jewish Summer Camp

Making friendship bracelets, enjoying cookouts, canoeing in the lake, laughing with pals, celebrating Shabbat under the stars… These are the sights and sounds of Jewish summer camp and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation is proud to help children experience its magic, especially after the isolation and disruptions of the pandemic. Studies have shown that children who attend Jewish summer camp are more likely to be active and engaged Jewish adults. Thanks to your donations to the Annual Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Campaign, this past summer Federation awarded $208,923 in scholarship support for 231 children to attend Jewish overnight camps across the US, building their sense of community and commitment to Jewish traditions and heritage.
