Dedicate a Donation With a Tzedakah Fund Card

During this time of social distancing, a donation to the Tzedakah Fund is a meaningful way to make someone feel good by doing good.

Maybe you have a birthday to acknowledge, an anniversary to celebrate, a bar or bat mitzvah or wedding that has been postposed? Perhaps someone is not feeling well, just sad from the isolation or you simply want a friend or a family member to know that you are thinking about them.

A Tzedakah Fund Tribute Card is the prefect way to show you care. Members of Miami’s Jewish community have been sending these tribute cards for decades and now they will be even more appreciated during this crisis. A donation of $18 or more to Federation’s Tzedakah Fund enables you to send a personalized tribute card with a heartfelt message to your recipient.

Tzedakah Fund donations are one more way Federation is able to respond to the emergency needs of Jews in our community. Donations to the Tzedakah Fund also go to Federation’s Indigent Burial Program, which partners with local cemeteries, funeral homes and monument makers to provide burial plots and a proper Jewish burial for those unable to afford them. In recent years, the program has been called upon to bury elderly Holocaust survivors, among others.

Tens of thousands of dollars in assistance is provided each year through the Tzedakah Fund with the majority of income derived from these cards.
