Psalms/Tehillim with Rabbi Solomon Schiff

Mondays & Thursdays (April 2, 6, 13, 20, 23, 27, 30) 6 pm

Join Rabbi Schiff in the recitation of Psalms of healing for those affected by illness. He will also recite a Mi Sheberach, the Jewish traditional prayer for healing. Rabbi Solomon Schiff is one of the pioneers of Jewish chaplaincy in America. As Director Emeritus of Mishkan Miami and Executive Vice President Emeritus of the Rabbinical Association of Greater Miami, he has served the Jewish community for more than four decades.

Healing Service with Cantorial Soloist Jodi Rozental

Monday, April 6, 7 pm

Join a special online healing service, co-sponsored by Temple Judea, to sing, pray and calm our minds.

Cantorial Soloist Jodi Rozental serves at Temple Judea in Coral Gables. A graduate of the Mishkan Miami Refuat HaNefesh Program, she offers creative, innovative and healing services and liturgies.

For those of us alone, away from our families and loved ones, this night indeed will be different that other nights, and not in the way we would hope. Yet, our traditions and rituals can bring us support and direction. Join the Mishkan Miami chaplains as we lead a Seder with both traditional and contemporary insights. Rabbis Frederick Klein and Cheryl Weiner, Staff Chaplains for Mishkan Miami, will lead the Seder with musical accompaniment from Maggid Laura Lenes.

Rabbi Frederick Klein, BCC, is the Director of Mishkan Miami and Executive Vice President of the Rabbinical Association of Greater Miami.

Rabbi Cheryl Weiner is a staff chaplain with Mishkan Miami as well as with Seasons Hospice Broward. As an award-winning Jewish educator, she teaches throughout the community.

The Torah of Illness and Ideas for Passover with Rabbi Fred Klein

While we do not know why things happen in our personal or collective lives, our Jewish tradition provides frameworks to help us consider what we are going through. We will explore important texts including what the 10 plagues might teach us.
