At-risk youth in Israel are gaining important social skills, self-confidence and career development opportunities, thanks to your donation to the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign. Through Shades of Sweet, a program run by Federation’s overseas partner, The Jewish Agency for Israel, young adults in Israel work as chocolatiers in two Pardes Channa-Karkur chocolate shops, developing an interest, and possibly even a career, in the confectionary world.
Seniors struggling with food insufficiency, especially during the holidays, can find a hot meal and companionship at one of five meal sites provided by Jewish Community Services (JCS) of South Florida, a Federation beneficiary agency.
Your donation to the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign is helping strengthen the Ethiopian-Israeli community in Israel. In addition to supporting programs that focus on education and teacher training, Federation dollars are funding a variety of initiatives in 2019.

Are you a young adult looking to experience Israel? We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Miami Community Birthright trip will welcome participants ages 27-32, June 12-24, 2019. Participants will explore Israel with their peers, develop connections with their heritage and make memories to last a lifetime.
Survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse in Southern Israel receive emergency services and counseling through Maslan, a rape crisis center in the Negev, funded in part by your contributions to the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign.
On Friday, December 21; Sunday, December 23; Monday, December 24; and Tuesday, December 25, join volunteers in family-friendly activities that include preparing and serving meals, distributing donated toys at social-service agencies and spending time with hospitalized children, at-risk youth and homeless shelter residents.
