Description
For decades Rabbi Irving ‘Yitz’ Greenberg has been a seminal voice in the Jewish community. Whether it has been his activism on behalf of Soviet Jewry, the cultivation of Jewish leadership, his work in interfaith understanding or through his efforts with the U.S. Holocaust Museum, Rabbi Irving 'Yitz' believes that the Torah and Jewish tradition have relevance on personal, communal and even universal levels. After over a decade of writing, he is now completing a major work of theology, which describes the meaning of being a covenanted people in this day and age. In a pre-Yom Kippur conversation with Jacob Solomon, Rabbi Irving 'Yitz' will reflect on the present state of the Jewish community, the United States, and the world, and how each of us might respond to the challenges we face in such uncertain times. Introductory reflection by Rabbi Frederick L. Klein, Director of Mishkan Miami: The Jewish Connection of Spiritual Support.
