Pre-Mission to Poland
Monday, April 17-Wednesday, April 19, 2023

The Pre-mission to Poland is a journey in discovering a world of rich Jewish heritage that no longer exists. This is a journey of reflection that enables participants to learn about the Jews of Eastern Europe and their lives before the Holocaust. It is an experience that will educate us so that we can try to understand what we lost in the Holocaust.

The group will travel throughout Poland and will visit sites of the Holocaust, as well as locations of significance to Jewish participants. Warsaw and Krakow, the remains of the Jewish ghettos, Mila 18, the restored Noczyk synagogue in Warsaw, the Jewish Quarter, the Remuh Synagogue in Krakow, and the remains of the concentration camps of Auschwitz-Birkenau and Treblinka are all part of the experience.

The highlight will be when we join the International March of the Living on Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) with over 8,000 Jewish teens from communities around the world. Together with them and the Miami delegation of teenagers, we will march in solidarity from Auschwitz to Birkenau in testimony of Am Yisrael Chai, the Jewish people live.
