BeWell Miami Committee

The mission of BeWell Miami is to provide support and tools to the Miami Jewish community to respond to the growing mental health concerns of young people, ages 12-26. BeWell Miami provides resources, education, and programming to adolescents, parents, caregivers, Jewish professionals and the greater Miami Jewish community to help increase the support around mental health and to destigmatize seeking help.

The BeWell Miami Committee is comprised of volunteer leadership as well as professional leadership from our partner agencies in the community. Our volunteer leadership includes both mental health professionals with a variety of expertise as well as individuals passionate about supporting adolescent mental health and wellness in the Jewish community.

BeWell Miami Committee Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Attend quarterly meetings in-person at Federation (with possible working group meetings in between)
  • Help promote, advertise and attend BeWell Miami events, especially when they are in your home community (i.e. synagogue, JCC, etc.)
  • For committee members who are mental health professionals, be available as needed to lead/facilitate programs around your area of expertise
  • Serve as thought partners as we continue to bring the BeWell initiative into the Greater Miami Jewish community
