National Agencies Committee

The Greater Miami Jewish Federation currently provides $312,197 in funding to 34 national Jewish agencies. The National Agencies Committee (NAC) is charged with:

  • Determining the funding criteria for national agencies 
  • Reviewing the work of the agencies 
  • Making funding recommendations to the Planning and Distribution Committee
  • Making recommendations to add new or remove agencies from the group   

The NAC meets 3 times a year (December-May) from 12-2pm at the Greater Miami Jewish federation.  Committee members are expected to:

  • Attend committee meetings 
  • Review assigned funding applications
  • Participate on scheduled calls with the applicants  
  • Present applications to the committee for discussion and participate in funding decisions for all applications
