Description

Born into wealth and privilege, his life seems golden...but by the age of thirty, he has become a drug addict, a thief, and a convicted drug dealer. Eventually he will understand his psychological turmoil and successfully reenter society. Douglas has written a raw and unstintingly honest recount of his harrowing, remarkable, and inspiring life story., Peres lays bare the extent of his drug use—at one point a 60-pill-a-day habit. His story is a cautionary coming-of-age tale, a glimpse into the rarefied world of wealth, power and influence and a brilliant dissection of a life teetering on the edge of destruction, and what it took to pull back from the brink.
