Description

Zachary Solomon • A Brutal Design
After the fascist takeover of his unnamed European homeland and the murder of his parents, architecture student Samuel Zelnik receives an offer to work in the experimental utopian city of Duma, where all people are free to do as they please. Offering him freedom and a chance to find his missing uncle and exiled avant garde artist, he is awed by the city’s brutalist architecture and the artist’s work that equally enchants and repels him. Is Duma the paradise it seems?
