A breakfast at 9:30 followed at 10:15 by an in-depth presentation and discussion by Rabbi David Golinkin on "What to do about the state of Judaism in the Jewish State?"
Rabbi David Golinkin is President of Schechter Institutes, Inc. and President Emeritus of the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, where he also serves as a Professor of Jewish Law.
A leading Conservative halakhic scholar and rabbi in Israel, Rabbi Golinkin has made invaluable contributions to the development of Jewish law and education in Israel. He is founder and Director of the Institute for Applied Halakhah, the goal of which is to publish a library of halakhic literature for the Masorti/ Conservative movement. Rabbi Golinkin directs the Center for Women in Jewish Law. His 2012 book, The Status of Women in Jewish Law: Responsa, is a major contribution to advancing the rights of women through the prism of Jewish law.
