Description

An epic tale of love, faith, and defiance. Marguerite, once heir to a fortune, is orphaned and dragged to New France by her volatile guardian, who squanders her inheritance. There, she bonds with his servant, and their forbidden relationship leads to brutal punishment: they are abandoned on a remote island with no hope of rescue. Once a privileged child who dressed in gowns and laced pearls n her hair, Marguerite must battle the elements to survive. As the weather turns and ice blankets the island, she discovers a faith she never knew she needed. Inspired by a true 16th-century heroine, Isola is a timeless story of a woman’s fight for survival.
