Description

According to recently published research, Miami-Dade County leads the nation in the percentage of people 65 and older who have Alzheimer’s disease, this is one out of every 6 adults. This memory-robbing condition has higher rates among Hispanic and Black populations, which make up more than 80 percent of the county’s population. Moderated by David Lawrence, Jr. this panel discussion will explore this multifactorial disease including the risk characteristics that interact demographic risk factors and the latest in research, treatment and prevention options. This event is co-hosted by Miami Jewish Health, American Jewish Committee and Mosaic Miami.

Less than a mile north of the Miami Design District off NE 2nd Avenue and 52nd street. Go through security gate and park in visitor parking lot. Within walking distance, east of parking lot, is Hazel Cypen Tower (HCT). The Synagogue is located on the first floor of the HCT.
