? THE HUB presents: An unforgettable evening of Israeli cinema! By Day Nor By Night
In the heart of Bnei Brak, Israel, Shmuel and his family navigate life as a French Sephardic Jewish family amid a predominantly Ashkenazi Jewish community. Mastering the intricacies of their social environment, they maintain their place with grace. Shmuel’s son, Rafael, a recent bar mitzvah and standout Talmud student, excels in his class and appears to be the top candidate for the youth-age yeshiva exams. However, Rafael’s dreams are dashed when he learns that his family's Sephardic heritage will likely bar him from the most prestigious academic institutions. Fueled by righteous indignation, Shmuel confronts the headmaster, Rabbi Shimon, to challenge this injustice. When a tragic accident disrupts their lives, Shmuel finds himself grappling with the fine line between aiding and complicating the situation. Neither
