Speaker and 2020 Friend of Israel Humanitarian Award Recipient: Professor Deborah Lipstadt, Dorot Professor of Modern Jewish History & Holocaust Studies, Emory University
Professor Lipstadt is widely known for the libel lawsuit brought against her by a Holocaust denier in 1996. The resulting lengthy trial created a call to action for the Jews around the world. The movie, Denial, based on her book, History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier, starring Rachel Weisz, tells the story of this seminal legal battle.
Couvert*: $118 per person (age 30 and under $54)
A $1,000 suggested minimum donation per household to the 2020 Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Campaign. Members of the community under age 30 are invited to attend with a suggested minimum donation of $500 to the 2020 Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Campaign.
