Event Details
Description
Please join Art and Shirley Sotloff, parents of late wartime journalist Steven Sotloff, at the JEWISH MUSEUM OF FLORIDA, in a discussion moderated by author and Professor Tudor Parfitt.
Items, awards, videos, photographs, presidential items, aliyah papers, and more, will be exhibited. Steven was more than the murder by ISIS who beheaded him. He broke the Benghazi story on CNN, covered the Arab Spring, and warned about a coming Syrian refugee crisis, becoming "a voice to the voiceless," as his Holocaust survivor grandmother inspired him to do. Most of his articles were written in pseudonym to protect him.
His parents now do HEFAT (SEAL-level) training for journalists from around the world to make sure they come home alive.
Please join us for this fascinating evening.
