Description

How did Franklin D. Roosevelt respond to the Holocaust and what does it reveal about America during World War II?

In this free public lecture, historian and Holocaust expert Dr. Richard Breitman, will be joined by Dr. Norman JW Goda, the Norman and Irma Braman Professor of Holocaust Studies at the University of Florida, to explore how military, political, and moral pressures shaped the American response to the Holocaust, offering fresh insight into what government leaders knew, when they knew it, and how they chose to act.
