Description
Dr. Peter Tarjan, Ph.D., Holocaust Survivor, Professor emeritus of the University of Miami, is also a board member of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Miami and a well-known Holocaust educator. Peter will present some rarely told stories of young women in Europe resisting the Nazi atrocities. Many of them ended up tortured and murdered for their efforts to save human lives. His presentation will include details of recent intensive research performed by Dr. Judy Battalion who uncovered so much information for her recently published book, The Light of the Days. Additionally, Peter will offer material provided by ANU–the Museum of the Jewish People (Beit Hatfutsot) in Israel
