Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the strategic vision and long-term planning for the International Division, aligning efforts with Federation’s mission, values, and fundraising priorities.
- Serve as a passionate ambassador and educator of Federation’s mission, engaging diverse international Jewish communities in meaningful and values-driven ways.
- Represent Federation at community events, fostering strategic partnerships with synagogues, Jewish organizations, and national/international movements.
- Direct the International Division’s $2M+ annual campaign: identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward new and existing donors to expand both revenue and donor base.
- Personally manage a significant portfolio of donors and prospects, with a focus on face-to-face solicitations, relationship-building, and stewardship.
- Lead and manage the International Division Board of Directors, with a strong focus on campaign engagement, solicitor management and leadership development.
- Plan and implement high-impact events and engagement initiatives that connect community members to Federation’s work.
- Oversee the Division’s operational functions, including event budgets, campaign tracking, data management, event logistics, and marketing coordination.
- Collaborate across departments to support high-profile initiatives such as The Main Event, Lion of Judah, Sunset Over Miami, and other community-wide programs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, Jewish communal service, business, or related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience in fundraising, community organizing, donor relations, or nonprofit leadership.
- Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship; skilled in developing strategies that drive philanthropic growth.
- Proven ability to inspire and manage volunteer leaders, build consensus, and promote a collaborative team culture.
- Strong familiarity of Jewish culture, traditions, and community dynamics—especially within Latin America and international Jewish communities—is preferred.
- Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
- Creative, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal, public speaking, and written communication skills.
- Technologically proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
