The Main Event 2014: A Night to Celebrate Community

On Thursday, February 20, 2014, more than 1,000 people will come together for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation 2014 Main Event, an annual celebration of Miami’s Jewish community and its commitment to helping Jewish people in need in Miami, in Israel and around the world.

This year, former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright (1997-2001) will be the keynote speaker and Maxine and Kenneth Schwartz will be honored with the 2014 Friend of Israel Humanitarian Award, presented by Norman Braman. The Main Event Chairs are Michelle and Bob Diener.

For decades, Maxine and Kenny Schwartz have been steadfast supporters of Miami’s Jewish community and the people of Israel. They led Miami’s first mega missions to Israel, inspiring countless others in their dedication to the community.
