PAC Event: The Roles and Responsibilities of a Trustee

Scott Weingarden, JD, CFP, CIMA, Vice President, The Starner Group of Raymond James

A member of The Starner Group since 1997, Scott Weingarden focuses on investment planning and portfolio design, maintenance and research. He develops investment plans that balance his clients’ goals with risk tolerance.

Weingarden is Series 7, 66 and insurance licensed. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ and holds a Certified Investment Management Analyst™ designation from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Weingarden completed his political science degree at the University of Michigan and his law degree at the University of Miami.

Eric J. Vainder, CFP, CIMA, Senior Vice President and Senior Managing Director at Northern Trust Bank, Miami

In his role at Northern Trust Bank, Eric Vainder helps oversee a team of professionals in the Brickell, Aventura and Key Biscayne offices. With more than two decades of experience in estate and financial planning, he focuses on banking, trusts and investment management.

Vainder graduated from Hofstra University with a B.B.A. and earned an M.B.A from the University of Miami. He is a certified financial planner and certified investment management analyst.

Diana S.C. Zeydel, ESQ, Shareholder, Greenberg Traurig

Diana S.C. Zeydel is Global Chair of the Private Wealth Services Practice at Greenberg Traurig and focuses on sophisticated estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and families, including intra-generational wealth transfer strategies and business succession planning. Her practice includes planning for US and non-US citizens and residents. She also assists clients with litigated probate, trust and guardianship matters, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service in complex tax and estate matters.

Zeydel earned her B.A. and law degrees from Yale University and her L.L.M. from New York University School of Law. Before attending college and law school, she was a professional ballet dancer, training on a full scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York. She danced professionally with the Chicago Ballet.

For the first time in the history of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, two women assume the organization’s top leadership positions. Lily Serviansky will become Chair of the Board and Mojdeh Khaghan Danial will serve as General Campaign Chair, following their installation at Federation’s 86th Annual Meeting, on Thursday, May 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Jungle Island Ballroom.
