Susan Morrison, CPA

Principal, Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC

Susan joined MBAF in 1997 and is a principal in the Tax and Accounting Department. She is well-versed, and a recognized expert in all aspects of accounting, tax, consulting and business advisory services for closely-held businesses and individuals. She takes a “hands-on” approach, providing valuable knowledge, experience and expertise particularly to small business owners and entrepreneurs. Her expertise spans a wide-range of industries, including healthcare, professional services firms (especially physicians and attorneys), high net worth investors, real estate, hospitality and wholesale/distribution.

Susan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition to her involvement with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, she also serves on the Board of Trustees for her synagogue, Temple Judea. In 2006, she was given the Up & Comers Award by the South Florida Business Journal.

Michael A. Dribin, ESQ.

Partner, Harper Meyer Perez Hagen O’Connor Albert & Dribin, LLP

Michael obtained a B.A. degree from Northwestern University in 1972, a J.D. degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 1975 and a LL.M. degree in Taxation from the University of Miami in 1979.

Practicing since 1975, he is a Board Certified Wills, Trusts and Estates Lawyer since 1986; is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estates Counsel since 1990 (member, Fiduciary Litigation Committee); and is the Past Chair of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar. Michael is an Estate Planning Advisor in the University of Miami Masters in Estate Planning program, an active member of the Probate and Guardianship Court Committee of the Dade County Bar Association, serves as the Dean of Florida Fellows Institute and Past President of the Estate Planning Council of Miami.

Michael has been designated a “Florida Super Lawyer” by Law & Politics magazine for six consecutive years and as a Top 100 Attorney in Miami, Florida. He has been recognized since 1993 in Best Lawyers in America, published by Woodward and White and designated since 2009 “Florida Legal Elite” in Florida Trend magazine by his peers.

Leif Novie, CPA, JD

Principal, Morris, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC

Leif has been in the public accounting and tax practice since 1988. He is both an accountant and an attorney, bringing a well-rounded perspective to the financial needs of his clients. His primary expertise focuses on estates, trust and high net worth individuals including any ancillary tax planning related to international and real estate tax issues for various asset classes. Leif has in-depth experience with financial products and reviews the vast majority of MBAF’s non-profit clients and advises the firm’s high net worth individuals on domestic and non-domestic issues. Before joining MBAF, Leif practiced in New York and in New Jersey where he also worked with hedge funds and investment partnerships. He was also a co-director of the Estate and Trust Group at a prior CPA firm.

For the first time in the history of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, two women assume the organization’s top leadership positions. Lily Serviansky will become Chair of the Board and Mojdeh Khaghan Danial will serve as General Campaign Chair, following their installation at Federation’s 86th Annual Meeting, on Thursday, May 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Jungle Island Ballroom.
