Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul is a groundbreaking choreographer, dancer, songwriter, performer, designer, actor and businesswoman. She is a two-time Emmy Award winner, Grammy Award winner, American Music Award winner, and Multi-Platinum recording artist who has been entertaining her fans for more than 25 years.

Raised by a Syrian Jewish father and a Canadian Jewish mother in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, Paula became a worldwide singing sensation with her first CD “Forever Your Girl,” followed by an astonishing six number one singles. And, until recently, when she was bumped to number three by Adele, Paula reigned as the second longest charting album on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Last year, Paula celebrated her Bat Mitzvah in a ceremony in the city of Tzfat, Israel. She traveled throughout the country, and described the experience as “the most magnificent trip I’ve ever taken... magical and emotional.”

Asked about the reason for her visit to Israel, Paula said, “Beyond being Jewish, I’ve always found myself to be very much in tune with spirituality. I feel very grateful coming to Israel now, where as a woman I know who I am a lot more than even 10 years ago.”
