Be Part of the Pre-Mission to Poland

If you’ve been thinking of visiting Poland, here is your opportunity to do so before you meet up with the community in Israel. If you have never been on this type of mission, it will be a defining moment in your life. The trip includes historical stops and inspirational visits. Below is an outline of the mission’s itinerary:

  • Drive through the Krakow Ghetto and visit Oskar Schindler’s Factory where he famously made the “list” of Jewish workers he saved
  • Visit sites of the Holocaust, including:
    - Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and the only remaining synagogue in the Warsaw Jewish Quarter
    - Nathan Rappaport Memorial which honors the Jewish resistance fighters and heroes of Warsaw Ghetto
    - Umschlagplatz where Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto had to assemble to board the trains which transported them to the death camp at Treblinka
  • Bear witness to the remains of the concentration camps at Auschwitz, Birkenau and Majdanek
  • Join 8,000 others, including Holocaust survivors and teenagers from communities around the world, for the March of the Living as you walk from Auschwitz to Birkenau in testimony of Am Yisrael Chai, the Jewish people live
  • Journey to Israel for Miami Mega Mission 2012

The pre-mission to Poland is a journey in discovering a world of abundant Jewish heritage that no longer thrives. You’ll be able to reflect while learning about the Jews of Eastern Europe and their lives before the Holocaust.
