Foundation PAC to Host Lunch & Learn on New Estate and Income Tax Law

The 2010 Tax Act signed into law a two-year extension of the Bush-era tax cuts, significant estate tax relief, as well as a collection of other tax breaks for businesses and individuals. The Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) of The Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation will focus its next Lunch & Learn program on exploring the effects of these new provisions.

The program will be held on Tuesday, February 15 at noon, and feature three estate- and tax-planning experts: Steven D. Brooks, J.D., Senior Fiduciary Officer at BNY Mellon; Jerome M. Hesch, Esq., Tax and Estate Planning Consultant at Carlton Fields; and Barry A. Nelson, Esq., Tax, Wills, Trusts and Estates Attorney at Nelson & Nelson. Brooks, Hesch and Nelson will engage participants in a comprehensive and practical discussion about the issues being raised by the new law. Click here to learn more about the speakers.

The program is being held at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, 1450 Brickell Ave., 27th floor. A kosher lunch will be served. The couvert (not tax-deductible) for this event is $18 and there will be no solicitation of funds.

The Lunch & Learn series, chaired by Kevin E. Packman, Esq., is open to attorneys, accountants, financial advisors and insurance professionals. Laura B. Kaplan is PAC Chair and John M. Bussel serves as Chair of The Foundation.
