Advocacy Mission Brings Jewish Issues to Washington, D.C.

More than 20 members of Federation's leadership recently traveled to Washington, D.C. with Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) for the 9th Annual Major Gifts/JCRC Advocacy Mission. Chaired by Jorge Woldenberg, the two-day trip included private meetings with Florida’s Congressional delegation, a behind-the-scenes tour of the Pentagon and briefings with policy experts and thought leaders. The group also had the opportunity to advocate with elected officials on legislation of importance to the Jewish community, ranging from combatting anti-Semitism to funding security initiatives and assistance to Holocaust survivors.
